Applications received after January 31 of the given year will be considered for an Exemption for the following tax year. Applications may be sent to the attention of the Chief Administrative Officer by: 1. Email to administration@newellmail.ca 2. Mail to PO Box 130, Brooks, AB T1R 1B2 3. In person at 183037 Range Road 145 during business hours or through the afterhours drop box slot which is located in the Receiving Door to the east of the main entrance Payment of the Application Fee may be made: 1. In person at 183037 Range Road 145 (Cash, Interac or Cheque) 2. By sending an etransfer to eft@newellmail.ca 3. Through Option Pay (see website for link) The County will advise an Assessed Person in writing if their application is accepted for consideration, refused, or rejected. Applications accepted for consideration will become the property of the County and may not be returned. The County may require additional information that, in its discretion, is necessary to complete the application. An Assessed Person who has an application refused or rejected as incomplete or ineligible may resubmit an application without payment of an additional Application Fee. An Assessed Person may appeal to Council if an application for Exemption is refused or rejected.
