County Council Meeting
June 16, 1967
The regular County Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was
held :in the County Office, Brooks, Alberta on June 16th, 1967 at 10:00 a.m.

Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that the motion of May 12, 1967 regarding
the Duchess Janitors salary be withdrawn as of May 31 and that his
salary be based on the Union Agreement.

Moved by Councillor Armstrong that the application from Mr. E. Franko
for Engineer Technician be accepted, and that he be hired at a starting
salary of $600.00 per month with duties to commence as soon as possible.

Moved by Councillor Armstrong that we approve the purchase of a gravel
pit part in NE 15-15-19, 4 from Joe Bildershein for the sum of $10,,000.00.

allowance in NW 20-1i-13-4 from JohnTimko be approved.

be approved.

School Committee
Moved by Couc~~illor Musgrove, that the rent schedule on teacherages be
increased by 15% t.~.sing the next highest dollar in calculation. To take
effect September 1, 1967.
Carried.
Moved by Co~~ncillor Armstrong that Mr. Bettons bid dtn the Broods
teacherage be withdrawn as per his request, and that the teacherage
be sold to the Brooks School District effective July 15, 1967.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Mandeville, that the report of the School Committee
be approved.

of exterior walk on Rolling Hills School.
Moved by Councillor Larsen, that the bid from Robert Fleury in the
amount of 8281.00 for sandblasting and stuccoing the Rolling Hills School
be approved.
