The regular monthly meeting- of the Council of the County of iJewell No. 4
was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta at 10:00 a.m. on Friday
November 12th, 1965.

The minutes of the previous meetings of September lOtl1, October 1st,
and October 14th, 1965 were read and adopted.
A delegation representing the Town of Brooks and the Brooks Chamber of
Commerce, being Mayor Nonnecke, Councillors Smith, & Christianson and
Mr. J. Nicholas, attended the meeting to discuss the Centennial Project
of the Tovm of Brooks and invite the County to participate.
Moved by Councillor Chrumka that the County expend the total amount of
any Centennial Grants, to approved projects in the County, including the
Towns & Villages.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Mandeville that any unused portion of the Centennial
Grant available to the County be waived to the benefit of the Town of
Brooks Arena Project.
Carried.

12:45 to 2:00 p.m.
Moved by Councillor Chrumka that the Secretary's report of Receipts,
Payments and monthly progress to October 31st, 1965 be accepted.

Discussed and ordered filed.
A letter from the Department of Water Resources re the Rolling Hills
Drainage Project was read discussed and ordered filed.

Crossing signals at the Tilley and the Rolling Hills Road crossings were
read discussed and ordered filed.

Provincial Lir_ense to cover tie c:~~rat,on of a Retail Business in Groceries
at the Blue Inn Coffe Shop in Rolling Hills be approved.

of Highways for a Natural Resources Grant on the Patricia, Road from
Highway 36 east.

Moved by Courtcillor Mandeville, that application be made to the Dept.
of Highways for a Contingency Grant for the following:
Completion of the Duchess Road, with light asphalt. The 4 miles of the
Brooks-Cassils Road, Brooks to Highway 36 light asphalt.

Mr. Maxwell and Miss Lovas attended the meeting to discuss the new office
Building, and advised that the advertising for tenders would be proceeded
with and that they would close at 4:00 p.m. on December 3rd, 1965.
