Scammell Nominations for Reeve Councillor Shuttleworth by Councillor Hajash Moved by Councillor Armstrong that nominations for Reeve cease. Carried. Councillor Shuttleworth was appointed as Reeve of the County by acclamations. Nominations for Deputy Reeve Councillor Hajash by Councillor Chrumka. Mowed by Councillor Eastman, that nominations for Deputy Reeve cease. Carried. Councillor Hajash was appointed as Deputy Reeve by acclama•-• tion. In the absence of Reeve Shuttleworth due to illness, Deputy Reeve Hajash took the chair. Nominations for Municipal Committee Nominations for School Committee I~ioved by Councillor Armstrong, that the Municipal Committee and the School Committee consist of all of the members of the whole County Council. Carried Unanimously Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that Councillor Armstrong be appointed as Chairman of the Municipal Committee. Carried. As a result of three Ballots, the following were appointed to the Agricultural Service Board. F. Mandeville Ja's. Hajash Councillor Mandeville was appointed as Chairman of the Agricultural Service Board by acclamation. Medicine Hat Health Unit Chrumka by Eccles Cease by Armstrong Carried. Councillor Chrumka was appointed to represent the County on the Medicine Hat Health Unit by acclamation. Emergency Measures Organization (Civil Defence) Grosfield by Eastman. Cease by Eccles Carried. Councillor Grosfield was appointed as the Civil Defence Director for the County, by acclamation. Farm Purchase Committee Hajash by C'hrumka Cease by Armstrong Carried. Councillor Hajash, was appointed to the Farm Purchase Committee by acclamation. Town ~ Village members to School Committee Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the following be appointed to be Town and Village members of the school Committee: Jas. Henry, Duchess L. C. Spivey, Bassano C. L. Norton, Rosemary. Carried. . . . . . . . . . . . Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that the meeting days for the County Councill and the various committees remain the same as in previous years, namely in the first full week of each month. School Committee, Monday ~ of the First Municipal Committee, Tuesday ~ Full Week of County Council Friday } each Month. Carried. Moved by Councillor Armstrong, that the resolution to approve the remuneration for Reeve and Councillors and members of the School Committee and the members of the Court of revision for the year 1964, copy of which is attached to and forming part of the minutes of this meeting be passed Carried. . . . . . . . . . . . . Moved by Councillor Armstrong that the firm of Bevan ~ Hutch Chartered Accountants Brooks be appointed as Auditors for the County for the year 1964. Carried. Unanimously. . . • . . . . Moved by Councillor Eastman, that H. C'. Scammell be appointed as Public Welfare Officer for the County. It was unanimously agreed that Councillor Hajash be appointed as Official Member of the Newell Foundation and that Councillor Eccles act asalternate member.
