This policy provides guidance for creating a consistent “look” for County communications. GUIDELINES: This is the official primary County of Newell Logo, shown in black and white and in color. Colors chosen for the banners are listed beside each color logo. The primary logo must be displayed at a minimum of 1” high. The primary logo should be used whenever possible, but in certain circumstances when the banner does not fit, it is acceptable to use just the emblem. The secondary logos must be displayed at a minimum of 1” high. Visual communications include stationary (letterhead, note cards, envelopes, business cards, fax cover sheets, cheques), A/V presentations, publications, signs, vehicle graphics, name badges, imprinted apparel and promotional items, advertisements, and web sites. The County of Newell logo will be made available to all employees in a variety of file formats via the electronic records management system. Please use only one of the variations provided. If another file format is required, please contact the Executive Assistant. The logo may be embossed, stamped, screened into a background, reversed to white or reproduced in black or any of the official colors listed above. Use of the County of Newell logo by outside organizations will be approved as needed by the Chief Administrative Officer or his designate. Do not distort the logo vertically or horizontally. 2. Do not change the colors of the logo. Use the color or black and white versions provided only. 3. Do not add extreme effects to the logo. 5. Do not place the logo on a busy photograph or low-contrast background. 6. Do not change the logo orientation. The site is designed to use various weights: regular, semi-bold, and bold. For social media graphics, the primary font used is Open Sauce available via the County’s Canva account; however, different fonts may be used for visual appeal and graphic effectiveness. Fonts used must be easily readable.
