COUNTY OF NEWELL
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 2057-23
11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023

PURSUANT to sections 230, 606, and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of
Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, the Council of the County of Newell in the Province of
Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No. 2057-23, being a new Municipal
Development Plan for the municipality.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Bylaw No. 2057-23 is to provide a comprehensive, long-range
land use plan pursuant to the provisions outlined in the Municipal Government Act.
THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a public hearing to contemplate the proposed bylaw will be
held in the County of Newell Council Chambers at 11:30 a.m. on the 25th day of May, 2023.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the
proposed bylaw should contact the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on the 18th
day of May, 2023. Both written and/or verbal presentations may be given at the public hearing.
A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the County of Newell office during normal
business hours, or on the County of Newell website www.countyofnewell.ab.ca/p/public-
participation.
