The minutes of the October 10th, 1969 Council Meeting were read and adopted. . . Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we accept the Financial Statement for the month of October. Carried. Correspondence: Letter from the Department of Lands & Forests re tax of $3.75 on Lot 10 Block 4 Kinbrook Island was read. Moved by Councillor Tautfest that we pass a resolution cancelling the taxes. Carried, Letter from the P~linister of Municipsl Affairs re their reasoning fox the assessment reduction on recreation cabins was read and the Secretary was to advise him stating Council's opinion as to the extra administration cost of this act. Letters from the Federal & Provincial Ministers of Health re pollution of the Bow River were read. Copies of these letters were to be sent to the P•ledicine Hat Health Unit and T~~r. Phil Dubtr at Rainier. . . Letter from Crerar, Lutes & ~ioonan and their cheque in the amount of $54.00 re public reserve fund for a subdivision in the PJ~3 of 7-15_15_-^- was read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we set up a public reserve account and that the signing officers be the same as those authorized to the County. Carried. Letter from the Department of Lands & Forests re purchase of road allowance in the SE of 23-18-14-n was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve their request and start the necessary procedures of advertising for the closing of this road. Carried. Letter from the Licensing Branch re Rainbow T~nufacturing Ltd., Rainier, Alberta eras read and tabled fox further information. Letter from C.P.O.G. Ltd. re pipeline and road crossing in 11-21-2~'.- 17_4 eras read. I~iovad by Councillor Douglass that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. . Letter from Kornelson Ranches Ltd. re establishrent of a Feed Lot eras read and the Secretary was requested to asY him for more infor- mation and detail on this operation. . . Letter from Calgary Power Ltd. re extension to observation station south of Brooks was read. Moved by Councillor Fiajash that tae approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. Letter from the Farm i~lectric Services Ltd. re extension into 1-20-12-~ was read. Moved by Councillor P'lusgrove that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. . . Letter from the Licensing Branch re application of A1r. Hugh Green for the establishrient of an Auto Body Shop on his farm at Rolling Hills was read. P~4oved by Councillor Larsen that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. . . a committee of three members from the Provincial Planning Board met with Council to discuss the matter of Council~op~iing out of the T~.edicine Hat P,egional Planning Commission. Further discussion on this matter will be held in Edmonton during the Convention week. Adjourn for lunch 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. . . T°;r. C.J. Pedersen, T~ir. Moved by Councillor Tautfest that we do not close or lease the road allo~rance running east of Section 25-16_14-~`. Carried. . . Committee Reports - T~loved by Councillor Tautfest that we recind the motion re pay to teachers of the Teacher's Salary negotiating Committee as set out in the School Committee meeting of November 10, 1969. Motinn lost. Moved by Councillor Chrumka that tae accept the School Committee Report. Carried. Alunicipal Committee - moved by Councillor T~lusgrove that we accept this report. Carried. agriculture - moved by Councillor Larsen that we approve the purchase of a 6 foot double disc for the approximate amount of $484.00. Carried. T~Iaved by Councillor Larsen that we place out the five 1080 baits as requested and that the coyote control bounty be set at $700.00 for ±his cominr_, season with the E.I.D. payinc half of this cost. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we advertise notice of by-law to the establishment of a recreation area in Division 4, Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Tautfest that cheques 2111-2306 be approved for ~yment. Carried. . .
