Members present Reeve J. Hajash: Councillors C. Larsen A. Chrumka~ T. Musgrove K. Anderson D. Hall N. Tautfest° P. Bartlett G. Douglass Sec.-Treas. D.N. James Minutes of the December 6th meeting were read and adopted. Minutes of the December 10th, Organization meeting were read and adopted. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we accept the Secretaries statement of Receipts & Disbursements for December. Carried. Correspondence Letter from A.A.M.D. re Damp Grain was read and ordered fiL1~d. Report No. 1 from PFA was read and ordered filed. Letter from Town of Brooks re annexation of Section 29-13-14-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we give them a letter of consent to this annexation. Carried. Letter from Water Resources re A.G.T. account for $25.20 was read. Moved by Councillor Hall, that we approve this account for payment. Carried. Letter from Fish & Ulildlife Division re Antelope was read and referred to Annual Meeting. Letter from Canadian Grid Oil re request for pipe line road crossing was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we approve this request subject to all c~her regulations being met. Carried. Letters from Hospitals Services re boundary changes of Brooks Hospital District were read, and the Secretary requested to obtain further information on this. Moved by Councillor Douglass, that we donate $50.00 to the Canadian Mental Health Association, and that bylaw 364 recEive first reading. . . , Moved by Councillor Hall, that we do not donate to the Prairie Provi.nc~s Forstry Association. Carried. Moved by Councillor Tautfest, that we donate $25.00 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and that by-law 365 receive first reading. Committee School Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that we request the cancellation of the Old Rolling Hills School gas contract and have it tranferred to the North Teacherage. Carried. Moved by Councillor Chrumka that we approve this report. Carried. Municipal Moved by Councillor: Musgrove, that we purchase a H.D. Road Disc for the approl~imate cost of $1000.00, Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we approve the purchase of the Tandem TS 14. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we approve the purchase of sheepfoot packer. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we approve the salary increases as set out in Municipal Minutes. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we approve this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that we request the Department of Highways to Sno:-; plow our Har~.surface roads . Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that any unauthorized over- expenditures on form A's be deducted, and any under expenditure be creditied to the from A's for the next year. Carried. Adjourned for lunch 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Nliss Liebelt, Recreation Consultant met with the Council and seven rural ratepayers, to discuss Recreation Development. Moved by Councillor Tautfest, that we sell gravel to the E.I.D. at cost. Carried. Moved by Councillor Chrui:~ka, that we enter into our Handbook that, any Community Project requiring gravel and they are prepared to haul it, that they be allowed a maximum of 100 yards free of charge. Carried. Agriculture Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we approve the purchase of a new Roadside Grass Seeder for approximate cost of $544.00. Carried. Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we approve this report. Carried. Brooks Hospital Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we approve this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we support the Brooks Hospital District and their submission to the Minister of Health re new Hospital for Brooks. Carried. Bassano Hospital Moved by Councillor Hall, that we approve this report. Carried. Health Hnit Moved by Councillor_ Bartlett, that we approve this report, Carried. Airport Committee. Carried. . , Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that we go on record in supporting the Airport Committee financ~ll;T by 25~/o in respect to the acquisition of land for an Airport. Letter from Bevan & Hutch, re Cash Register was read. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we purchase the new A.B. Dick copier from M3.rshalls Book Store for the approximate cost of 1192.50. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we sell the old 3M Copier to the Brooks Hospital for $100.00. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we write the Department of Highways and request them to implement the Grid System this year. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we apply to the Department of Highways for the Natural Resources Grant on Patricia Road. Carried. . . . Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we apply to the Department of Lands & Forests for Parks Road Grant on Patricia Road. Carried.
