Member present: Chairman - N.A. Shuttleworth Councillors 0. Vossler P. McAleese C. Andrews J. Hajash R. Armstrong R. Eastman _ Ben Plumer G. Douglass Secretary-Treasurer H. Scammell The minutes of the previous meeting of November 10th, 19b0 were read and adopted. Moved by Councillor M~~Aleese, that the two teacherages at Millicent be re-tendered and the two coal sheds be also offered for sale. . Carried. Moved by Councillor McAleese, that the Secretary's reports of Receipts, Expenditures, and Monthly Progress for the month of November be accepted. . . Carried. A letter from the Attorney Generals Dept. re the New Years Eve celebra- tions was read and ordered filed. 1 `~~ Letters from the Town of Brooks and Brooks Volunteer Fire Brigade, re Ambulance, we.read and held to discuss with the attending delegation. The minutes and statement of the Medicine Hat Health Unit perused by individual councillors. A letter from Municipal Financing Corporation was read and ordered filed. Correspondence from Givil Defence H.Q. re the old building was read and ordered held. A bid of $350.00 on the old Industrial Arts Building at Rosemary was ordered held for a possible further bid. The proposed plans of Farm Electric Services, re Tilley, R.E.A. were approved. The Secretary was directed to advise the California Standard Co. that the Council would prefer to approve their proposed installations before they are installed. The Dept. of Mines & Minerals approved the gas installation at Tilley that proved unable to conform to the County Specifications for Pipeline • Crossings of County Road Allowances. The Secretary was directed to obtain the specifications of the Texas Gates which we are given to understand are being installed on Provincial High- ways, and their authority with regard to such installations. Adjourned for lunch 12:15 to 2:00 p.m. Reports of Committees Municipal Committee Moved by Councillor Hajash that the report of the Municipal Committee be accepted. ~ Carried. School Committee Moved by Councillor Plumer, that the report of the School Committee be accepted. Carried. Agricultural Service Board Moved by Councillor Eastmman, that the report of the Agricultural Service Board be accepted. Carried. Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the County endorse a Magpie Program, to provide $200.00 for bounty on Magpie legs at 5¢ per pair with the E.I.D, contributing $100.00 and the County X100.00 , Carried. Hos i~al Committee j Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the report of the Hospital Committee f; a ~ be accepted. Carried. ~,~ Civil Defence. The Council concurred in the action taken in regard to the old Civil Defence building. Farm Purchase Board Moved by Councillor Hajash, that the report of the Farm Purchase Board be accepted. . Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that the sale of the the SE 11~-19-1~ -Wl~th. to Leo Juss by the Farm Purchase Board be approved. . Carried. Senior Citizens Home Moved by Councillor Hajash, that the report of the Senior Citizens Home Committee be accepted. . Carried. Meters. Anderberg and Madill together with Doctors McLeod and Midway attended the meeting to discuss the future of the brooks Ambulance Service Councillor Ben E. Plumer was unanimously appointed to represent the County at any future meetings in this regard. The Secretary was directed to advertise the 8 - 1000 Gallon propane tanks at Rosemary for sale by public Tender. Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth, that the Annual and Nomnation Meeting of the County be held in the Elks Hall at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18th. 19b1. )RM 149-P-Special NICIPAL SUPPI.ILS i.TU.
