TITLE: 100 YEAR FARM AWARDS

POLICY PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Policy is celebrate Farm Family’s that have been farming in our
County for 100 years. Their dedication to agriculture has helped to mould our
County into what it is today and this is one way to show our gratitude.
POLICY GUIDELINES:
1) All applicants will source their own information through Land Titles, Provincial
Archives, or Homestead Applications. The County will not be liable to pay any
fees to obtain documentation
2) The award will be granted to those families that can demonstrate that their farm
has been in the family for 100 years or more.
3) Once it has been determined that the Family qualifies, the County will purchase
an award to signify the achievement.
4) Presentation of the award will be made by the Divisional Councillor at an event
of choice of the recipient and a picture along with a brief write up of the farm
will be included on the County website.
