By-law 1016-90
A By-law of the County of Newell No. 4, in the Province of Alberta,
for the purpose of entering into an agreement with the Village of
Tilley, the Village of Duchess, The Town of Brooks, the Village
of Rosemary and the Town of Bassano.
Whereas Section 118 of the Municipal Government Act provides that
a Council may, by By-law, enter into an agreement with other mun-
icipalities for the joint construction, ownership, maintenance,
operation or use of a public work or building.
And Whereas the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 is desirous
of entering into such an agreement with the municipalities previously
mentioned to provide for the operation of a Regional Sanitary
Landfill and/or incinerators.
Now Therefore, the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 duly
assembled hereby enacts as follows:
"That the Reeve and County Administrator be hereby authorized
to sign an agreement with the Village of Tilley, the Village of
Duchess, The Town of Brooks, The Village of Rosemary and the Town
of Bassano, to operate the Regional Sanitary Landfill and/or incinerator
methods of garbage disposal."
