~ By-law No. 1223.97
,,..~ A By-law of the County of Newell No. 4, in the Province of Alberta, for the purpose of closing to
public travel and leasing of a portion of public highway in accordance with Section 22 of the
Municipal Government Act.
Whereas the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
Whereas application has been made to Council to have the highway closed and leased, and
Whereas notice of intention of Council to pass a By-law has been mailed to persons registered or
assessed as owners of the land abutting upon the portion of the highway so proposed to be closed
at least two weeks before the date fixed for the passing of the By-law, and
Whereas notice of intention of the Council to pass a By-law has been published in the Brooks
Bulletin on September 3, 1997 & September 10, 1997
Whereas Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be heard by any person prejudicially
affected by the Bylaw
Now therefore be it resolved that the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 does hereby close and
lease the following described highway: "that portion of the road allowance between the SE 14 &
SW 13.19-15.4
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals."
