BYLAW 1717 -11
A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL NO. 4 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING TO PUBLIC
TRAVEL AND LEASING OF PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
22 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, CHAPTER M-
26, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the roadway closed, and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the
purpose of closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof situated in the said municipality, and
thereafter leasing of same, and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606
of the Municipal Government Act; and
WHEREAS Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be heard by any person claiming to be
prejudicially affected by the bylaw.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 in the Province of
Alberta does hereby close to public travel and offering the following described roadway by lease, subject to
rights of access granted by other legislation:
1. The Road Allowance adjoining the west boundary of Section 3 Township 14 Range 12
W4M containing 3.24 ha (8.0 acres) more or less
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals
2. The Road Allowance adjoining the west boundary of Section 10 Township 14 Range 12
W4M containing 3.24 ha (8.0 acres) more or less
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals.
