PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BYLAW 1896-17
BEING A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA,
TO RESCIND THE FOLLOWING BYLAWS:
Bylaw 623-78 a bylaw for the purpose of closing to public travel and leasing of portions
of a public roadway.
Bylaw �763-13 a bylaw for the purpose of closing to public travel and leasing of portions
of a public roadway.
WHEREAS the landowners have indicated to Council that they no longer wish to continue
with the lease agreement for these portions of closed public roadway, and
WHEREAS the portions of closed public roadway hereafter described are no longer
required for private use, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Bylaw 1896-17 is to reopen the portions of closed public
roadway to public travel, and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell must prepare a bylaw to rescind the
previously adopted bylaws in accordance with Section 191(2) and provide for its
consideration at public hearing, and
WHEREAS notice of Council's intention to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance
with Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, and
NOW THEREFORE under the authority and subject to the provisions of the Municipal
Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, Chapter M-26, 2000, as amended, the Council of the
County of Newell in the Province of Alberta duly assembled does hereby enact the
following:
1. Bylaw 623-70, being a bylaw for the purpose of closing to public travel and
leasing of portions of a public roadway,
Firstly:All that portion of original Road Allowance adjoining the east boundary
of Section Seven (7), Township Twenty-one (21) Range Fourteen (14), West
of the Fourth (4) Meridian.
Secondly:All that portion of original Road Allowance adjoining the east
boundary of Section Seven (7), Township Twenty-one (21) Range Fourteen
(14), West of the Fourth (4) Meridian lying south of the south limit of the road
as shown on Registered Plan 3509 E.Z. produced across said Road
Allowance
and any amendments thereto, are hereby rescinded.
2. Bylaw 1763-13, being a bylaw for the purpose of closing to public travel and
leasing of portions of a public roadway,
Parcel 1:All that portion of the original government road allowance adjacent
to the eastern boundary of the south east quarter Section 31 Township 14
Range 12 West of the Fourth Meridian containing 1.618 Hectares (4.00
Acres) more or/ess.
Parcel 2:All that portion of the original government road allowance adjacent
to the eastern boundary of the north east quarter Section 30 Township 14
Range 12 West of the Fourth Meridian containing 1.620 Hectares (4.00
Acres) more or less
and any amendments thereto, are hereby rescinded
3. This bylaw shall come into effect upon third and final reading hereof.
