BYLAW 1916-18
A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING TO PUBLIC TRAVEL AND
LEASING OF PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 22 OF THE
MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, REVISED STATUTE5 OF ALBERTA 2000, CHAPTER M-26, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the roadway closed,and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the purpose of
closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof situated in the said municipality, and thereafter
LEASING of same,and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606
of the Municipal Government Act, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Newell in the Province of Alberta
does hereby close to public travel and offering the following described roadway for LEASE, subject to rights
of access granted by other legislation:
A PORTION OF THE ORIGINAL GOVERNMENT ROAD ALLOWANCE(ALLEY)
WITHIN THE HAMLET OF TILLEY LY/NG EAST OF BLOCK 4, PLAN 9010889
COMMENCING AT THE INTERSECTION OF 3RD AVENUE EAST AND
CONTINUING NORTHEAST FOR 32 M
NORTHWEST SECTION 19 TOWNSH/P 17 RANGE 12 WEST OF THE FOURTH MERIDIAN
EXCLUDING ALL M/NES AND M/NERALS
