BYLAW 2112-26
A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING FOR PUBLIC TRAVEL AND
DISPOSING OF PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 22 OF THE
MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, CHAPTER M-26, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the roadway closed, and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the purpose of
closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof situated in the said municipality, and thereafter and
disposing of same, and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606 of
the Municipal Government Act, and
WHEREAS Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be heard by any person claiming to be prejudicially
affected by the bylaw
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Newell in the Province of Alberta
does hereby close to public travel and offering the following described roadway for SALE, subject to rights of
access granted by other legisiation:
PORTION OF ROAD ALLOWANCE ADJACENT TO MOST WESTERLY PORTION OF
MERIDIAN 4 RANGE 17 TOWNSHIP 22
SECTION 9
THAT PORTION OF THE NORTH WEST QUARTER
WHICH LIES NORTHWEST OF CANAL RIGHT OF WAY ON PLAN 9412748
CONTAINING 1.91 HECTARES (4.71 ACRES) MORE OR LESS
EXCEPTING THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS
AND THE RIGHT TO WORK THE SAME (COT 191 138 985)
