The regular Council Meeting of the County of Tewell Pdo. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Friday, August 6, 1971

Minutes of the July 9, 1971 Meeting were read anal adopted.

Moved by Councillor Hajash that we accept the Financial Report
for the month of July. Carried.

Letter from the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts &
Counties re: Bill 91 was read and discussed, anal tabled for further
study.
Letter from the Canadian Radio Television. Commission. re: TV reception
within. the County area, was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that
we write the TV Stations concerned, requesting that they make a study
and improvement to the TV reception. within the County area. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Bartlett that the tabled motion re: Brooks &
District Band be brought from the table. Carried.
Vote on the tabled motion.. which read 'That we do not donate to the
~~, Brooks & District Band' was carried.

;, Letter from the Workmen's Compensation Board advising of our
•`~ Merit Rebate for 1970 was read and ordered filed.

Letter from the Lethbridge Mental Health Association requesting
donation, was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we donate
$100.00 to this Association. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Andrews that By-law 430 in the amount of $100.00
to the Lethbridge Mental Health Association. receive first, second and
third readings. Carried Unanimously.

Letter from the P.F.A.A. requesting Summary of 1971 Hail Reports,
was read anal copies distributed to each Councillor to complete in.

Letter from the Eastern Irrigation District re request for all Risk
Crop Insurance was read anal the Secretary advised to forward copy of
our latest correspondence to the Irrigation District in this regard.

RPSOLUTION
A resolution of the County of Newell No. 4 to provide for the
inclusion of certain members of its administrative staff under
the Local Authorities Pension Act.
Whereas, under the provisions of the Local Authorities Pension Act,
it is possible for employees of the County to be included in its
benefits,
and Whereas, the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 is desirous
of assisting in this purpose.
Therefore, be it resolved that the Resolution dated 11th of January,
1963 be amended to read that the County of Newell No. 4 authorizes
the recognition of the Local Authorities Pension Act to the members
of its administrative staff in the following categoriess
Office Staff
agriculture Service Board Fieldman
Public Works Supervisor
