James The minutes of the March 13th County Council Meeting were read and adopted. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that Mr. Jack Enders by of Duchess be paid $50.00 damsges re: removal of topsoil during road construction in 1969. Carried. /fir Moved by Councillor Tautfest that we accept the Financial Report for ~. `~ ~ the month of March. Carried. Correspondence: Application from Canadian Western Natural Gas re: pipe line crossings in 22-14_4 and 21-14-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. Letter from Canadian Western Natural Gas Co. re: road crossings in .the Dinosaur Provincial Park was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash ~ that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. Letter from the Workmen's Compensation Board re: Seminar to be held on April 30 and May 1, 1970 was read and ordered filed. Letter from the Alberta Fire Protection Association re: 1970 Membership in the amount of $5.00 was read. Moved by Councillor Hall that we approve this account. Carried. Committee Reports: School Committee Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we accept this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we recommend to the School Committee that a review be made of the Boarding Out allowance and Tuition Fee Account fox those students who cannot obtain their education by the County System. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that those schools participating in extra- curricular activities which would involve expense to the County, must have the prior approval of the School Committee before this activity is carried out. Carried. ~ Airport Committee ~ Moved by Councillor Bartlett thht we request a list of members on this committee from the Town of Brooks. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we accept this report. Carried. Adjourn for lunch 12:30 - 2:00 p.rn. Moved by Councillor Hall that accounts 4102 - 4474 as per attached list be approved for payment. Carried. Dr. Hobbs of the Department of Agriculture of Lethbridge and members of a delegation met with the Council to give a talk and discuss the possibilities of a ~ntQ urologist being employed in the County under a three-way agreement . Moved by Councillor Tautfest that we proceed with the investigation of a student entd urologist and that a budget of $2500.00 be set up as ' County share in this program. Carried. Municipal Report Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we accept the Hardsurface Tender of Everall Construction of Edmonton for the hardsurfacing of the Rolling Hills road in the amount of $88,200.00. Carried. Request from the Gem Gas Coop asking for deviation of our by-law regarding distance of pipe from road allowance was read. Moved by Councillor Douglass that we approve this deviation, but that the -' Company bear all future responsibilities as to maintsnta.nce or repairs to this line, and also that it be placed at a depth of 8'. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we accept this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that by-law 398 re: purchase of 5 school buses receive first, second, third and final reading. Y Carried unanimously. Moved by Councillor Andrews that by-law 403 re: closing and lease of road allowance in Section 5-15_15-4 receive first and second reading. Carried unanimously. Moved by Councillor Larsen that we approve the road agreement of Ruth Stonehouse of Rolling Hills. Carried. Moved by Councillor Andrews that a refund of $10.00 be made to Ralph IK3yer re: plug-in service. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Larsen that we approve the Rolling Hills Recreation Board budget subject to a 2 mill limit. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve the Tilley Recreation Bca rd budget subject to a 2 mill limit. Carried. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we approve the Bow Slope Recreation Board budget subject to the 2 mill limit. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Hall that we approve the Bassano and Area:', ~ Recreation Board Agreement and that the County particip~.tion in this Recreation Area does not exceed 2 mills. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hall that we approve the Bassano and Area ~ Recreation Board budget to a maximum of 2 mills being County share. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve the Brooks and Area Recreation Board Agreement with the County share being a maximum of 2 mills. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve the Brooks and Area Recreation Board budget in the amount of 2 mills being County share. Carried.
