i~~i County of Newell No. 4 County Council, July 9th, 1965 The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 9th, 1965. Mandevil~~ Armstrong Eastman Gros f ie ld{ Scammell 1965 were read and Moved by Councillor Chrumka that the Secretary's reports of Receipts and Payments, and Monthly Progress to the end of June be accepted. Carried: Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the application of Mrs. Kelly to sub- divide SE 32-21-18-4 be approved. Carried. Copies of the information from the Department of Municipal Affairs, re Courts of Revision were given to each Councillor. ~'Ioved by Councillor Hajash that Bylaw No. 285 to donate $25.00 to the Hudson Bay Route Association be given 1st, 2nd, and 3rd readings and finally passed. Carried.Unami~ously Letters from the Brooks Library Board, and the Village of Tile y with regard to Centennial Grants were read, and ordered held until the August meeting. Moved by Councillor Mandeville, that the resignation of J. D. Murphy, Alcoma School Janitor be accepted. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that the application of Halliburton Oil Nell Cementing Co. to operate a plant located on the NE 8-19-14-4 be approved subject to Provincial Government Regulations and the Town of Brooks. Carried. .Adjourned.for.Lunch, 12:30 to 200 p.m. Reports of .Committees unicipal Committee Moved by Councillor Hajash that the report of the Municipal Committee be accepted. Carried. Ms. Pete Makowichuk of Underwood & McLelland attended the meeting to witness the opening of the Tenders on the Duchess Road Hardsurfacing. Tenders opened were as follows: Gallelli & Sons $90,720.00 Lewis & Wilson $105,055.00 Moved by Councillor Grosfield, that the Tender of Gallelli & Sons $90,720.00 be accepted. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that a Brake Reverting Machine be purchased from Allied Distributors for an approximate cost of $272.00. Carried. Mr. Maxwell, and Miss Lovas attended the meeting to present sketch plans for the new office building after discussion it was decided that they would present further more detailed plans at a meeting to be held at 7 00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21st, 1965.
