The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks,
Alberta at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5th, 1964.

District be advised that it would require ratifaction by
the T•R.B• Department of Municipal Affairs before their
suggested trade of lands could be agreed to.

Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the plan of the Canadian
Western Natural Gas Co, to cross the road allowance between
SW 23 ~ SE 22»21»15..W4 with their pipeline system, be
approved providing they conform to the County requirement
of placing the line 8 ft below the surface etc•

the SKE'Fn~, and that it be placed in the location of the

to the Eastern Irrigation District for permission to back

Pheasant Motel to build a Motel etc. on the NP corner
of Sec• 5~19~-14--W4 be approved subject to the approval
of the Town of Brooks Planning Board and all of the Pro v«•
incial regulations covering such installations.

Foundation be accepted.

A letter from the Department of Education, advising of a
Supplementary Requisition Abatement Grant to the County,,
in the sum of $36,4.51.00 was read and discussed.
Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the amount of the revenue
to be obtained by supplementary requisition be reduced from
X181,276.00 to $144,825.00 and that the County Mill Rate
to recover its share being $120,30'7.00 be reduced to
13 mills.
