Tender of $150.00 for the 4.8 acres of lands the former Clemenceau School Grounds, was received from the Scarboro Mennonite Church who presently own the old school building and use it for religious services. Moved by Councillor Douglass that the offer of the Scarboro Mennonite Church to purchase the old Clemenceau School Grounds for the sum of $150.00 be accepted. Carried. . . • . Sec eta y~.Tr asurer RESOLUTIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE ~~~~Q' OF ~181M`B1.L NO.~ ~~ WHEREAS a Petition has been received from The Farm residents of -this Municipality in Townships 21.22,, 23, 24 , and Ranges 15, 16,.17 , West of the 4 Meridian, requesting the Council to approve of the construction of Power transmission lines for the GEM Rural Electrification Association Limited along the highways, streets, lanes and avenues of the said Townships and Ranges., and further to consent to a Permissive Order being granted by the Public Utilities Board of the Province of Alberta in order that the peti- itioners may be served with electric energy. NOW THEREFORE ON motion of Councillor A4t~lai/ , BE IT RESOLVED that this Council approve of the construction of power transmission lines along the highways, streets, lanes and avenues in the said Townships and Ranges of this Municipality, and the installation of such works as may be necessary. to serve the Petitioners with electric energy provided that such transmission lines, poles and works are constructed and operated in compliance with all requirements and regulations issued under the authority of the Department of Public Works and provided further that there be no liability whatsoever on the paxt of the Municipality for the Association's practice and methods in construction, maintanining and operating the said works. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. FURTHER on motion of Councillor ~~~ , BE IT RESOLVED that this Council loth hereby consent to a Permissive. Order being granted by the Fublic Utilites Board of the Public Utilities Act of the Province of,Alberta. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
