IVioved by Councillor Lokier that the Secretary's reports of Receipts, Disbursements, and Monthly Progress for the month of IvTay be accepted. Carried. .............. 1~Toved by Councillor Hajash that a donation of :100.00 be made to the Farmers Union of Alberta. Motion Lost. .............. roved by Councillor Hajash that approval be given to the erection of a propane storage plant and office on ,- Fl-SWq-lq-l~.-W~.th, north of Pheasant T~~lotel. Carried. .............. NToved by Councillor Vossler that approval be given to _ the proposed extensions to the Tilley R.E.A. Carried. .............. Correspondence from Fooks 8c ~Tilne re final pa3nnent or. the Rosemary School, and repairs, etc. to the Rolling ~_,,,..- Hills School were ordered held for adjustments. .............. Correspondence from the Department of Agriculture and the Eastern Irrigation District, re Senior Citizens' Horae site was read. .............. l~Toved by Councillor Lokier that the Department of J , Agriculture be advised that the County of Newell is prepared to advance the payment for the Senior Citizens Home site. Carried. .............. TvToved by Councillor Plumer that the Department of Education be advised that the Antelope Creek School is 'oeing sold to the highest bidder in accordance with the letter of Dr. Swift of TL'arch 26th, 1959• .............. Carried. The Council concurred in the presentation to the Bridge Department re the replacement of the bridge on the access road from Rainier to Highway 36. .............. A report of the Rollins Hills Home &. School i~ssociation re Shop and Hotne Economics being continued in the Rolling Hills ,School was read and ordered filed. .............. Moved by Councillor }icAleese that the T~-iedicine Hat Health Unit be advised that in the opinion of the County Council the present Sanitary Services are adequate. Carried. ............. Carried. ............ The T4Zunicipal Cornrnittee was given authority to negotiate a Rental-Purchase agreement for a D-~ Caterpillar, make purchase of a unit to replace the White Truck. ............ T~Toved by Councillor Lokier that all County School Busses be equipped with rear-view mirrors on each side of the bus. Carried. ............ The Secretary was directed to obtain information with regard to tree planting adjacent to road allowances. The County Chairman was authorized to negotiate a satisfactory arrangement with the Rolling Hills Association in moving and replacing the dug-outs and back--stops now adjacent to the school. _ .............. loved by Councillor N1cAleese that County School Buses be used only for transporting students to and from school, and for Inter-School Sports activities.
