The postponed regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks Albertan at 10:00 a.m. on Friday September 16th, 1955. . . . The minutes of the meeting of August 5th 1955, were . read and adopted. . . . Moved by Councillor McAleese that the Secretary~s reports of Revenue and Expenditure and Monthly Progress for the month of August be accepted. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Lokier~ that a further application be made to have the Lake Newell road constructed b4r funds from the Provincial Special Contingency Grant. , ;. . ,,~.~. • . . . . A letter from Rainier F.U,A. Local re the Highway 36 location was read and ordered filed, . . Moved by Councillor ~'va.raksa~ that R. E. Lee of Tilley be re-engaged to drive the East Renfrew School Van at the rate of ~ 11.00 per day for each day driven. Carried. . . A letter from the Field Crops Branch re the A.S.B. tour of the district was read and ordered filed. . . A letter from the Salem Lutheran Church of Scandia offered to purchase the stoker from the Scandia School for $~ 10.00 . . . Moved by Councillor McAleese~ that the stoker from the Scandia School be offered for sale to the Lutheran Church at Scandia for the sum of ~ 100.00.
