Moved by Councillor Ockey that the Secretaryts reports of Revenue and Expenditure and monthly progress report be accepted. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Plumer! that the District Agriculturist be appointed to the Agricultural Service Board . Carried. . . A letter from the Mothers Allowance Branch re Dirs. N. Isaacs was read and ordered filed. . . ~~ Moved by Councillor Plus~er~ that Bylaw No. 122 to donate ~ 100.00 to the Brooks Airport Committee be given lst~ 2nd and 3rd readings and finally passed. Carried Unan. . . A letter from the Public Utility Commissioners re the petitions against the Brooks Municipal Hospital Requisitions was read and ordered filed. . . The quarterly report of the Medicine Hat Health IInit was presented and ordered filed.. . . Moved by Councillor McAleese! that the County accept the responsibility of H. Bauman of F.olling Hills for a license to sell meat. Carried, . . Moved by Councillor Lokier that authority be given to the Gem Home & School Association to proceed with the construction of the necessary lsasement on which to move the old Gem School Building. The total cost to the County not to exceed the estimate of the Gem Home & School in the sum o~ ~ 971.36 as contained in their letter of June 9th 1955. Carried, . . Moved by Councillor Plumer~ that the Council concur in the School Committees recommendation to construct Gymnasiums at Duchess Rosemary and Tilley at a total per unit cost not to exceed ~ 2000.00 over the grant allowances this amount to include the cost of equipment. Carried. . . The preliminary report by Kirks Stokers of the heating requirements was read and ordered tabled pending the subsequent quotations. . . For exam~pler-bank loans , outstanding should be met from revenues of previous years. Principal payments on loans should not be budgetted for. It is assumed that a Municipal District will desire to establish a Reserve Fund; consequently, only that part of the SURPLUS Cash Funds should be included in the Revenue Estimates, which the Council feel should be used to reduce the tax levy-after due consideration is given to the question as to whether or not ' the Surplus.
