BYLAW 1673 -09
A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL NO. 4 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING TO PUBLIC
TRAVEL AND LEASING OF PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
22 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, CHAPTER M-
26, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the roadway closed, and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the
purpose of closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof situated in the said municipality, and
thereafter leasing of same, and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606
of the Municipal Government Act; and
WHEREAS Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be heard by any person claiming to be
prejudicially affected by the bylaw.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 in the Province of
Alberta does hereby close to public travel and disposing of the following described roadway by lease,
subject to rights of access granted by other legislation:
Title 1:
All of the road allowance lying between the south east 144 of Section 13, Township 15, Range
15 west of the 4th meridian and the south west 1/4 of Section 18 Township 15, Range 14
west of the 4 meridian.
Title 2:
The southerly four hundred and fifty metres of the road allowance lying between the north
west 144 of Section 17 and the north east of section 18 both in Township 15 Range 14 West
of the 4th meridian.
Title 3:
Firstly:
That portion of the road allowance lying between the north west of section 20 and the north
east 1 4 of section 19 both in Township 15, Range 14 west of the 4 meridian which lies north
of the production southeasterly of the north east curvilinear boundary of road plan 2726jk
across said road allowance.
Secondly:
Those portions of the road allowance lying between the north east of section 19 and the
south east 144 of section 30 both in Township 15, Range 14 West of the 4 meridian which lie
east of the production of the east boundary of road plan 2726JK across said road allowance
and west of the production of the west boundary of said plan 2726JK across said road
allowance
Thirdly:
The intersection of the east /west road allowance with the north/ south road allowance at the
north east corner of the north east Y of section 19 Township 15 Range 14 West of the 4th
meridian.
Title 4:
All those portions of the road allowance lying between the south half of section 6 Township
16, Range 14 West of the 4th meridian and the north half of section 31, Township 15 Range
14 West of the 4th meridian which lies east of the production of the east boundary of road plan
2726JK across said road allowance and that portion which lies west of the production of the
west boundary of road plan 2726JK across said road allowance.
