HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-05-18 Municipal Planning Commission (Regular) Minutes Municipal Planning Commission May 18, 1983 The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on May 18 1983 commencing at 4:00 p.m. Members Present Chairman Councillors Representatives Dev.Control Off. Planner Secretary V. Fabian J. Hajash A. Scheuerman S. Merkl E. Willms D. Coffey B. Whitson D. James 1. Minutes Minutes of the April 20, 1983 meeting were read to the Commission. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we adopt these minutes as corrected. Carried. 2. Business from Minutes No business arose from the minutes. 3. New Business 1. Gerald Robinson - Development Permit This permit was discussed and additional items added to the permit, being condition for siding of the warehouse, the set-back regulation and regulations under the proposed Light Industrial Zoning. Following this, it was moved by S. Merkl that we approve this Development Permit for advertising. Carried. 2. Steve Kowal - Development Permit Discussion took place on this permit and the matter of set-back. After discussion on this matter it was moved by E. Willms that we place a Caveat on this property indicating that any future moves of thse buildings would be borne by the landowner, and further that a letter be sent to Mr. Kowal advising him of this Caveat. Carried. Moved by Councillor Scheuerman that we approve the Development Permit for Steve Kowal and proceed with advertising. Carried. 3. Mel Myers - Moved-in House Mr. Myers met with the Commission and presented his proposal in regard to a moved-in house that is to be located in the Hamlet of Patricia. After discussion on this item, it was moved by E. Willms that this item be tabled for more information from the Hamlet Advisory Committee. Carried. 4. Pat Shepherd - Moved-in House Mr. Pat Shepherd met with the Commission to discuss the moved-in house at Patricia; this house being moved in without a Permit. After discussion on this item it was moved by Steve Merkl that we table this item until the next M.P.C. Meeting and further information from the Patricia Advisory Committee. Carried. 5. Hog Operation - Countess Doug Coffey presented information to the Commission in regard to this operation. 4. 5. Other 1. Bert Bell This application was presented to the Commission for their comments. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we refer this item to County Council for approval. Carried. 2. G. & D. Dyck This application was presented to the Council for their information. Moved by Ed Willms that we recommend the approval of this application to County Council subject to consolidation of Title. Carried. Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 5:40 p.m. ..... ~.. CHAIR AN S, CRET
