Minutes of the Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
January 17, 1991
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Thursday, January 17, 1991 commencing at 1:30 p.m.'

1. Minutes
Minutes of the November 27, 1990 meeting were presented to the
Commission. Moved by E. Buday that we adopt these minutes as
circulated. Carried.
2. Business from Minutes
There was no business from the minutes.
3. Permits
Nil
4. Land Use Changes
Nil
S. Home Occupation Licences
1. ~~17 - Karen Rose - Equestrian Tack Shop
NW 32-17-14-4 - Brooks
Application for an Equestrian Tack Shop was presented. After
~ discussion, it was moved by G. Niznik that we approve this
.~,~• application and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
2. ~~18 - Frank Dyck - Light Auto Repairs
Lot 8 Block 1 Plan 7910951 - Brooks
After review, it was moved by Councillor Wallace that we approve
this application and proceed with the necessary advertising.
Carried.
3. ~~19 - Ida Stephens - Greenhouse
Lot 2 Block 2 Plan 8311138 -Brooks
After review, it was moved by Councillor Bulger that we approve
this application and proceed with the necessary advertising.
Carried.

Nil
7. Other Business
1. A.A.M.D. & C. - Provincial Building Permits
Letter from the Alberta Association of M.D.'s & Counties concerning
the new proposed regulations regarding Building Permits was presented
to the Commission for information.
2. Department of Communications - Antenna Structures
Letter from the Government of Canada, Department of Communications,
concerning the construction of radio communication antennas and
the proposed County in-put into the development and location
of these structures, was presented. Moved by Councillor Bulger
that we agree to participate in this proposed program. Carried.
3. M.P.C. & D.A.B. By-laws
Doug Fleming advised that he is making a review of the Municipal
Planning Commission and Development Appeal Board By-laws and
will report back to the Commission on this matter at a future
meeting.
8. Development Report
The Development Report for December and for the year-ending
December 31, 1990 was presented to the Commission.
Moved by Councillor Wallace that we accept this report. Carried.
9 . Ad_j ourn
Moved by Councillor Bulger that the meeting adjourn at 2:30 p.m.
Carried.
