Minutes of the Municipal Planning Commission Meeting
May 28 , 1991
The regular Municipal Planning Commission Meeting of the County
of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta
on Tuesday, May 28, 1991 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

1. Excused from Meeting
Moved by Councillor Wallace that Chairman Wells & Secretary
D. James be excused from this meeting due to other urgent
County business that they had been called out for. Carried.
Vice Chairman Buday took over the chair.
2. Minutes
Minutes of the April 30, 1991 meeting were presented. Moved
by Councillor Wallace that we adopt these minutes as circulated.
Carried.
3. Business from Minutes
There was no business arising from the minutes.
4• Permits
The following Permits were presented to the Commission:
1. ~~979 - Peter Laplante - Collection Site for
Recyclable Metal - SE 17-18-14-4 - Brooks
The Development Control Officer presented information on this
item. After discussion, it was moved by Councillor Wallace that
we approve this Permit and proceed with the necessary advertising.
Carried.
2. 4k980 - Dan-Lin Farms Ltd. - Farm Subsidiary Business
Machine Shop - NE 35-16-13-4 - Tilley
After review, it was moved by G. Niznik that we approve this
application and proceed with the necessary advertising. Carried.
5• Land Use Changes
There were no applications for Land Use Changes.
6• Home Occupation Licences
1. X625 - Mike & Lynn McNab - Custom Boots & Saddlery
SW 32-20-17-4 - Bassano
Information was presented on this application. Moved by Councillor
Bulger that we approve this application. Carried.
7. Subdivisions
1. 91 SE 39 - Van Oirschot
Information was presented to the Commission on this application.
Moved by Councillor Wallace that we approve this application
subject to consolidation with the adjacent property or legal
access and that Public Reserve be deferred. Carried.
8. Other Business
1. Alberta Labour - Alberta BuildinE Permits
Information was presented to the Commission in regard to new
regulations as set by Alberta Labour concerning Alberta Building
Permits.
9. Development Report
The Development Control Officer presented the Development Report
for the month of May, Moved by G. Niznik that we accept this
report. Carried.
Cassils Area Structure Plan - Revised Draft
Doug Fleming reported on this item and, after discussion, it
was moved by Councillor Bulger that we refer this to County
Council for final approval and to set a date for the Public
Hearing. Carried.
10. Adjourn
Moved by Councillor Wallace that the meeting adjourn at 2:40 p.m.
Carried.
