BYLAW 1989-20
A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF NEWELL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING TO PUBLIC TRAVEL AND
LEASING OF PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 22 OF THE
MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, CHAPTER M-26, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS,the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the roadway closed, and
WHEREAS the Council of the County of Newell deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw for the purpose of
closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof situated in the said municipality, and thereafter
LEASING of same,and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in accordance with Section 606
of the Municipal Government Act, and ?
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Newell in the Province of Alberta
does hereby close to public travel and offering the following described roadway for LEASE, subject to rights
of access granted by other legislation:
ALL THOSE PORTIONS OF THE ORIGINAL GOVERNMENT ROAD ALLOWANCE
LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF THAT PORTION OF THE SOUTH WEST QUARTER
OF SECTION 15
IN TOWNSHIP 17
RANGE 16
WEST OF THE 4TH MER/DIAN
WHICH LIES WEST OF THE WEST LIMIT OF RAILWAY ON PLAN RW 219
CONTAIN/NG 59.9 HECTARES(148.13 ACRES)MORE OR LESS
EXCEPTING THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS
