HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Subdivision Process_2024The Subdivision Process 1 2 3 4 5 6 Contact the Planning and Development Department to set up a meeting regarding your proposed subdivision The Application, once complete, is circulated to adjacent landowners and referral agencies for comment If the Application is approved, the applicant has one year from the date of approval to satisfy the conditions of approval. The applicant has the right to appeal any or all conditions to the appropriate Appeal Board www.countyofnewell.ab.ca If the application is refused, the decision may be appealed to the appropriate Appeal Board Submit Application. This must include: Completed Subdivision Application Form Current Certificate of Title Site sketch drawn to scale (must be completed by an Alberta Land Surveyor if there is development on the land) AER Abandoned Well Information Other information as requested. This may include professional soil testing, geotechnical study, concept plans, ect. Subdivision Application Fee The County has 20 days to deem an application complete The Application is then presented to the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) and will either be approved with conditions or refused with reasons MPC must make a decision within 60 days of the application being deemed complete
