Minutes of the Council Meeting
June 12, 1991
A Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the
County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Wednesday, June 12, 1991
commencing at 10:00 a.m.

In the absence of Reeve Workes, Deputy Reeve Scheuerman took
over the chair.
The meeting was then opened for discussion on the 1991 Municipal
Budget.
Reeve Workes arrived at the meeting at 10:35 a.m. and took over
the chair.
Moved by Councillor Bulger that the 1990 expenditure paid on
the Duchess Landfill site in 1991, in the amount of $10,638.00,
be taken from the Municipal Surplus Account in order that it
f will reflect the true cost for 1990 and not affect the budget
figure for 1991. Vote on the motion - Carried.

Moved by Councillor Conners that we approve the 1991 proposed
Municipal Budget, as amended. Carried.
Mill Rates By-law 1037-91
Moved by Councillor Douglass that By-law 1037-91, being a By-law
to set the 1991 mill rates, receive first reading. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Wallace that By-law 1037-91 receive second
reading. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Fabian that By-law 1037-91 receive consent
of Council for third and final reading. Carried Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor Nelson that By-law 1037-91 receive third
and final reading. Carried.
Bow Valley Provincial P.C. Riding
Letter from M.R. Breakell requesting the purchase of a table
for this Convention was presented. After discussion, it was
moved by Councillor Wells that we refuse this request. Carried.

Alberta Guide to Game Bird Huntin
Information and a request for a donation to this publication
was presented to Council. After discussion, it was moved by
Councillor Nelson that we refuse this request for advertising
in this publication. Carried.
Meeting Dates
Moved by Councillor Conners that we set the date for the August
Municipal Committee Meeting for August 7th. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Conners that we reschedule the July 25th
Council Meeting to July 24th. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Bulger that we reschedule the September
Municipal Committee Meeting to September 9th, the A.S.B. Meeting
to September 11th and the Council Meeting to September 12th.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Nelson that the second Council Meeting for
September be set for September 19th. Carried.
Adjourn
Moved by Councillor Wallace that this meeting adjourn at 12:00 noon.
Carried.
