Special Council Meeting
April 15, 1985
A special Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Monday, April 15, 1985
commencing at 10:00 a.m.

1. Notice of _Special_Meeting
Notice of Special Meeting and Waiver of Notice are attached to
and form part of these minutes.
2. Rescind Motion re: Board of Education Budget
The Reeve explained the reason for this meeting and it was then
moved by Councillor Hall that we rescind Motion 7~6 Page 33 of the
April lI, 1985 Council Meeting regarding the Board of Education
1985 Budget. Vote on the motion - Carried.
3. 1985 Board of Education Budget Report for Ratification by County Council
Moved by Councillor Wallace that the 1985 Board of Education be
ratified by County Council. Councillor Conners requested a recorded
vote. Those voting in favour of the motion - Councillors Wallace,
Fabian, Conners, Hall, Scheuerman, R. Hiebert (Village of Duchess)
and P. Norton (Village of Rosemary). Those voting against the
motion - Councillors Andrews, Workes, Regehr, Douglass, and L. Despas
(Village of Tilley). Vote on the motion - Carried.
4. 1985 B.Q.R.P. By-law 877-85
Moved by Councillor Conners that By-law 877-85, being a By-law to
carry out the 1985 B.Q.R.P. Program under the School Budget, receive
first reading. Carried Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor Hall that By-law 877-85 receive second reading.
Carried Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor Workes that consent of Council be given for
third and final reading of By-law 877-85. Carried Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor Wallace that By-law 877-85 receive third and
final reading. Carried Unanimously.
The necessary advertising of this By-law will now be carried out.
5. Adjourn
Meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
