Special Council Meeting
March 13, 1985
A Special Council Meeting of the County of Newell ~~4 was held in
the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Wednesday, March 13, 1985
commencing at 11:30 a.m.

minutes.
Waiver of Notice
Waiver of Notice of Meeting is attached to, and forms part of, these
minutes.
1. By-law 867-85
Further discussion took place on this By-law. Moved by Councillor
Conners that By-law 867-85 receive second reading. Carried
Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor Workes that By-law 867-85 receive third and
final reading. Carried Unanimously.
2. A.S.B. Field Tour - July
Request from Ed Pratt to attend this Field Tour, if time is
available, was presented to the Council for consideration.
Moved by Councillor Hall that we approve the attendance of
Ed Pratt at this Field Tour, if possible, and that the County
bear all costs of mileage, registration and subsistance allowance
as required. Carried.
3, Truck Tenders
Moved by Councillor Wallace that we approve discussion in regard
to truck tenders. Carried.
Larry Seitz, P.W. Supervisor, reported that Martin Chrysler, who
was awarded the two truck tenders, are unable to supply these
trucks in highway yellow as called for in the bid. After discussion
it was then moved by Councillor Douglass that we give Larry Seitz
authority to contact Community G.M.C. and, if they can supply the
order with factory paint of highway yellow, that the order be
awarded to them. If they are unable to do this, they he is to
return back to Martin Chrysler and have them order the trucks and
arrange for painting of them locally. Carried.
