Special Meeting
October 21, 1980
A Special Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta commencing at 4:15 p.m.

1. Notice of Special Meeting
Notice of Special Meeting is attached to and forms part of these
minutes.
2. Ambulance 0 ep ration
Reeve Musgrove presented a report given by Bill Coghill on the
ambulance operation. This report outlined goals and objectives
of the ambulance operation and also the proposed costs for 1981.
After a lengthy discussion on the item it was moved by Councillor
Hajash that we enter into a 1 year Contract to have the ambulance
operation turned ovex to the Brooks Hospital and that this transfer
begin i.~znedately to take effect January 1, 1981. Further, that
this Contract be renewed annualy as to the County`s financial
position in this operation. Carried.
3, Budget
Moved by Councillor Vogel that we approve the proposed budget
subject to the following regulations;
1. that 50% of the cost of staff wearing apparel be charged
back to the staff,
2, that all capital costs be taken out of the Capital Reserve Fund.
Carried.
