Special Council Meeting
July 14, 1980
A special Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in
the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Monday, July 14, 1980 commencing
at 7:30 p.m.
Members Present Reeve T. Musgrove
Councillors A. Vogel
V. Fabian
L. Brockelsby
J. Hajash
W. Christensen
E. Grosfield
H. Janzen
Administrator D. James
1. Notice of Special Meeting
Notice of Special Meeting called by the Reeve is attached and forms
part of these minutes.
2. Waiver of Notice of Special Meeting
Waiver of Notice of Special Meeting signed by Council is attached and
forms part of these minutes.
3. Calgary Power Ltd.
A lengthy discussion then took place in regard to the news release
from Calgary Power Ltd. concerning the possible purchase of 51% of
their shares by ATCO. .Moved by Councillor Janzen that Council can
'' see no concern or interest in this matter and cannot give their
support at this time. Carried.
4. Adjourn
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
