Minutes Minutes of the July 5, 1979 Shop Committee Meeting were read. 328. Business from Minutes 321. Shop Addition Moved by Councillor Boehme that we purchase from Atco Structures Ltd. a 24 X 40 structure for Public Works Offices. Carried. 3 . . . . 162. J. Dueck - Road Allowance _.4------ No reply. 190. Matziwan Creek To be studied further. x'329. Delegation -Tilley Ag, Society Mr. Alex Chrumka and Syl. Tateson, from the Tilley Ag. Society, met with Council regarding a donation to the Tilley Ag. Society. Moved by Councillor Fabian that the County donate $6000.00 to the Tilley Ag. Society. Carried. 330. Lunch Adjourned for lunch 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. 331. Delegations - Eastern Irrigation Agriculture Society Complex Delegations for and against the Eastern Irrigation Agriculture Society met with Council to discuss their positions. 332. Veltman Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to favourable comments from the Brooks Municipal Planning Commission, dedication of a 66' service road, a Servicing Agreement and Land Use Agreement. Knutson Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we approve this application subject to a dedication of a 17` xoad widening on the whole quarter, and a dedication of a 66` service road on the subdivided parcel. In addition, this is subject to a waiver from the Provincial Planning1~.Board re: Section 22. Carried. Application 79 SE 116 -David G. Bell Moved by Councillor Janzen that this application be tabled for further study. Carried. ~,...-Application 79 SE 115 - Rusty Koch Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to a 66" service road and 150` turn-around, a Servicing Agreement, and all service roads meeting industrial standards. Carried. Southern Alberta Re.gionaT Planning Commission Letfer from South East Alberta Regional Planning Commission regarding Application 78 M 40, Golden Top Potato Farms Ltd., was read to Council. Moved by Councillor Fabian that the County negotiate agreement with the applicant as to future land use on the assumption that such an agreement would be registered by Caveat against the property concerned. Business from the Minutes Item 264 - Tenders Moved by Councillor Hajash that we accept the tender from Modern Auto for the 1979 gravel truck now in stock, including gravel box and hoist and painting of County colors for the price of $29,162.00. Carried. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we accept the tender from Modern Auto fox a 2 ton truck for a price of $6,244.00. Carried, Item 308 - Alberta Municipal Debt Reduction Program Moved by Councillor Janzen that we ratify the action taken in regards to the Alberta Municipal Debt Reduction Program. Carried. 336. Excused from Meeting Councillor Boehme requested permission to be excused from the meeting. Permission granted. 337, Correspondence (Cont'd,) 338. Medicine-Hat Health Unit - Installing Trailers Application Letter from Medicine Hat Health Unit re: application regarding installing trailers at 32-18-15-4 was read to the Council for information. 339. Steering Committee Information Letter from the Steering Committee regarding rail line abandonment in our Province was read to Council for their information, 340. Alberta Labour re: Mr. C, Carratt, Rolling Hills Letter from Alberta Labour advising that Mr. C. Carratt has been appointed local assistant to the Fire Commissioner was read to Council for their information. 341. Calgary Power Application from Calgary Power for an extension in the NE 32-16-16-4 was presented to Council. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we approve this extension. Carried. 342. Municipal Affairs - Municipal Assistance Grant Lettex from Municipal Affairs regarding the allocation of Municipal .Assistance Grants was read to Council for their information. -''343. Western Land Services Co. Ltd, Request from Western Land Services Co. Ltd. for well sites in the NE 35-16-11-4, NE 24-16-11-4, SE 24-16-11-4 and NE 36-16-11-4 were presented to Council. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve these requests subject to the 125' County By-law being met. Carried. 344. Cheques for Payment Moved by Councillor Vogel that we approve cheques 313.7 - 3513, as per attahhed list, for payment. Carried, -~"~45. Meeting with C.U.P.E. - June 21, 1979 Moved by Councillor Grosfield that the C.U.P. E. members attending this meeting receive no pay for the hours in attendance at the meeting. Carried. Page ~3. 3 6. Teacherage T-2 Sale or Disposal Moved by Councillor Fabian that we apply to the Minister for permission to sell or dispose of Teacherage T-2 at Tilley. Carried. 347. August Meetings Moved by Councillor Musgrove that the August Council Meeting be held on August 9, 1979. Carried. 348. Other Business ~~'349. Patricia Garbage Disposal Site SE & NW 1-20-12-4 Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we apply to the Department of Environment for a permit to have a garbage disposal site on the location SE & NW 1-20-12-4.
