The regular Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Friday, July 21, 1978
commencing at 10:40 a.m.

~°-`°` Moved by Councillor Christensen that we write a letter to the Medicine
Hat Planning Commission appealing their decision on subdivision 78 M 57.
Carried.

Letter from Alberta Local Authorities Board re: proposed annexation
Village of Duchess, was read to Council for their information.
J.H. Hogg
Letter from J.H. Hogg re: Patricia Lagoon was read to the Council
for their information.
Recreation, Parks & Wildlife
Letter from Recreation, Parks & Wildlife re: antelope reserve in
the County of Newell was read to Council for their information.
Town of Brooks
Letter from the Town of Brooks re: taxes on SZ 36-18-14-4 and
%' N~ 25-18-14-4 was presented to Council. The Assistant Administrator
was requested to write a letter to the Town to get details on the
exact location of the sewer lagoon and the use of the land surrounding.
Road Agreement - Y. Kimura
Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve the road agreement for
Y, Kimura in NE & Pt. NW 23-18-15-4. Carried.

This application was referred to the next Council Meeting.

Moved by Councillor Christensen that we approve this application. Carried.

Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we accept this report. Carried.
421. Agriculture Committee
Moved by Councillor Janzen that a resolution be drawn up to present
/ ~ to the Foothills Little Bow Association re: the burning of rural
refuse sites. Carried.
Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this report. Carried.

Adjourned for lunch 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
422. Delegation - Associated Engineering Services Ltd.
Mr. A.C. Alex Jorgensen met with Council to discuss the Feasibility
Study for the Hamlet of Rolling Hills sewer system. Moved by Councillor
Christensen that we request Associated Engineering Services Ltd, to
do a Feasibility Study on the water system in conjunction with the
sewer system provided the Hamlet of Rolling Hills comes up with a 51%
plebiscite concerning this Study. Carried.

424. Use of Land South of Count Building for Recreation Purpose for Sp Ed
This was deferred to a future meeting for more information.
425. East Tille Road
Moved by Councillor Fabian that a letter be written to Jack Stonehouse
in regard to erecting a sign at the intersection of NW 12-17-12-4
and Highway No. 1 designating this road as the East Tilley Road. Carried.
