Minutes of the January 7, 1977 meeting were read and adopted as amended. . . 57. .,~ Business from Minutes 1. P.S.S. Members of Council who attended the P.S.S. Meeting reported on this meeting. .~ 2. Calgary Power ' Application from Calgary Power for line move in 14-14-4, was ', presented. Moved by Councillor Vogel that we approve this application subject to all regulations. Carried. 3. Zoning By-law Hearing ~ti Moved by Councillor Boehme that we set up a hearing to be held in Rosemary on January 31st at 7:00 p.m. Carried. 58. ! Correspondence 59. /~ Salvation Army Request from the Salvation Army for donation for 1977 was presented. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we donate 5300.00 to the Salvation Army for 1977. Carried. 60. ~- Alberta Transportation By-law 592 Letter from Alberta Transportation advising that the Minister of !I Transportation has approved our By-law 592, was presented. Spring Convention Notice of the Spring Convention to be held in Calgary on March 29 & 30 was presented to Council and those members who plan to attend advise the Administrator. 62. ~ Storage Building b Application from B. Miskae requesting County approval for the construction of a 40 X 80 storage building on NW 26-18-14-4 was presented. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this '' application subject to all regulations. Carried. Page 7 63. .! Scandia Water Suppl ~P t ~~ -,, A report on the Scandia Water Supply was presented from Medicine Hat ~' Health Unit. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that a copy of this report be forwarded to Councillor Brockelsby. Carried. 64. /g Gem Recreation Board 13 Request from the Gem Recreation Board for the County to advertise an increase in their mill rate from 2 to 4 mills was presented. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we advertise for this increase in mill rates. Carried. 65. ~ Calgary Power d ; Application from Calgary Power for line extension in the SZ 14-18-13-4 ~ ~ was presented. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this ~'~~ application subject toyregulations. Carried. 66. ~g Calgary Power Application from Calgary Power for line extension in SE 17-22-17-4 `~ was presented. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we approve this s application subject to all regulations. Carried. 67. " Twelve D Drafting Contractors Ltd. Application from Twelve D Drafting Contractors Ltd. for road crossings ?, for S.R. & B. Gas Co-op Ltd. was presented. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this application subject to all regulations, County By-law and that all main roads be bored. Carried. 68. ~ Calgary Power Ltd. Application from Calgary Power Ltd. for line extension in LSD 9-7-19-13-4 was presented. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to all regulations. Carried. 73. ~ Planning Commission `, Application 76 M 195 - Bad Moved by Councillor Hajash that we lift this application from the table. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we approve this application subject to the County not being responsible for the canal crossing, that cash in-lieu-of be taken on the parcel, restricted Agricultural Caveat, ', and that this subdivision be subject to the Airport Control Zone. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we approve this application subject i to the County providing access on the east side of this parcel, that the developer pay cash in-lieu-of on the subdivision, and that he also provide a canal crossing on the east side of his property. Carried. 75. ;c Application 77 M 6 - Prins 3, Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to cash in-lieu-of on the subdivided area. Carried. 76. "'Application 77 M 7 - Meyer Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to the construction and dedication of a 66' service road on the north side of this property and cash in-lieu-of on the subdivision. Carried. 77. -~ Application 76 M 178 - Kropf ': Moved by Councillor Boehme that we approve the cash-in-lieu-of on this subdivision in the amount of $1123.00. Carried. 78. ,.~~ Application 76 M 186 - VanWert r Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve the cash in-lieu-of on this subdivision in the amount of $1337.00. Carried. 79. ,~ Road Allowance There being no objections to the advertising for the closing and sale of road allowance in the NE 6-22-14-4, it was moved by Councillor Musgrove that By-law 596-77 receive first reading. Carried Unanimously. 7 Moved by Councillor Christensen that By-law 596-77 receive second reading. Carried Unanimously. 80. ~ Fish Plant The Administrator advised Council that Mr. Tremblay had not renewed °'' his lease on the Fish Plant east Qf Tilley and that wider the terms ~' of the Agreement, further action should be taken. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we cancel Mr. Tremblay's lease on the above-noted building. Carried. 81. Mobile Home Licences ;5~ /~yP~~ Applications were rece~ed"from the following for installment payments ' on their mobile homes: David Klein, Paul Rae, G. Spicer, Pete Gunston, LeRoy Kranz, R. Sagstuen, L.A. Weston. Moved by Councillor Musgrove :~ that we allow installment payments on these licences subject to all arrears being paid in full, and that advanced quarterly payments be ...•'r allowed. If these payments go into arrears, the licence will be due ~ and payable immediately. Carried. 82. ~ Patricia Sewer Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we ~oroceed with the necessary financial arrangements and applications for the proposed sewer system at Patricia. Carried. 83. .a~ Utility & Development Control Officer Applications for these positions were reviewed by the Council. Moved by Councillor Christensen that the Reeve, Vice Chairman and Administrator review these applications. Carried. r `~. • • • • - ~1_ Page 9 84. Office Rentals A review was made of the office rentals and office space in the County building. After discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councillor Vogel that we do not renew the rental lease for the i Farm Labour Pool for 1977. Carried. 85. ~ Cancellation of Taxes Moved by Councillor Fabian that we cancel the following taxes: Account 2859.01 - $45.92 Account 11460 - $32.65 Account 11469 - $12.24 Account 11470 - $12.24 N, Account 11471 - $12.24 Carried. 86. ~ Land Acquisition Form Moved by Councillor Musgrove that we approve the Land Acquisition Form for Donald Owen - NW 18-20-12-4.
