James 379• ~ Minutes Minutes of the July 5, 1974 meeting were read and adopted as amended. 380. Road Crossings Letter from Burroughs Engineering (1974) Ltd. requesting w~vaer of road crossing By-law, was read. The Secretary was instructed to advise Burroughs Engineering that we are unable to waive this By-law. 381. Assessors Report The Assessors Report for the month of July was received. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we sponsor the Assessor on the Appraisals Course on an annual fee basis. Carried. Moved by Councillor Andrews that a radio be installed in the Assessor's e truck. Carried. 382. E.I.D. Letter from the E.I.D. concerning the SE 9-21-14-4 and Pt. NE 4-21-14-4, was read and referred to Councillor Bartlett. 383• ~ By-law 537 Moved by Councillor Andrews that By-law 537 being the establishment of a Fire Protection Area within Division 7, receive second reading. Letter from Calgary Power Ltd. for line extension in L.S.D. 1$-18-19-1¢ was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. 389. Calgary Power Ltd. Letter from Calgary Power Ltd, re: line extension in NW 36-18-15-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. 390. Calgary Power Lid. Letter from Calgary Power Ltd. re: line extension in L.S.D. 18-20- 18-15-4, was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. 391. Medicine Hat Planning Commission Letter from the Medicine Hat Planning Commission regarding the sub-division of Pt. Block ~ in the Hamlet of Scandia,was read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we proceed with the application for sub-division of this property. Carried. 392. Application 74 M 101 for Grand Prix Natural Gas for sub-division in N2 19-21-14-4, was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we approve this application subject to all other regulations and that cash in-lieu-of Public Reserve be paid on this parcel. Carried. 394• Medicine Hat Planning Commission Application 74 M 112 in the name of the Town of Brooks for sub-division in SE 30=19-14-4, was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met and cash in-lieu-of Public Reserve be paid on the sub-divided area. Carried. 395• Medicine Hat Planning Commission Application 74 M 114 for sub-division in N2 15 & 22, SE 27-17-16-4, in the name of the E.I.D., was read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met, with cash in-lieu-of to be paid on the sub-division in the SE 27. Carried. Page 49 396. Medicine Hat Planning Commission Application 74 M 113 re: J. Dyck, being Pt. Sec. 5-19-15-4, was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met and cash in-lieu-of Public Reserve be paid on this sub-division, and a Country Residence Caveat be placed on this parcel. Carried. 397• Medicine Hat Planning Commission A letter from the Planning Commission regarding application 73 M 21, Benci, was read and referred to Councillor Musgrove to obtain further information at the next Planning Commission Meeting. 39g. y Road Crossings A letter from McDonald Engineering & Associates Ltd, requesting road crossing in L.S.D. 15-19-24-15-4, was read. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met and County By-law 361. Carried. 399• Department of Highways Letter from the Department of Highways concerning operator's licence Re-examination Program was read and ordered filed. 400. ~ County Maps Account from Melnyk Drafting for the purchase of new County Maps, was presented. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this account for payment. Carried. 401. Ambulance `~ Letter from the Town of Brooks indicating their concern in obtaining qualified ambulance drivers, was read and referred to each County ~ Councillor. f; yt 402. A.A.M.D. Letter from the A.A.M.D. & Counties concerning Section 92.4 of the Highways Traffic Act, was read and ordered filed. 403. Foothills Little Bow Association Letter from the Foothills Little Bow Association advising of the Annual Meeting to be held in Lethbridge on Monday, October 7, 1974, was read. 404. Municipal Affairs Letter from Municipal Affairs, Provincial Municipal Finance Council, was read and ordered filed. 405. D. Dame Letter from D. Dame of Patricia and account in the amount of $48.00 was read. The Secretary was advised to forward this letter and account to the Department of Highways in Edmonton. Page 50 406. A.S.T.A. Bus Study The Transportation Study & Finance Plan as submitted by the A.S.T.A. was presented to County Council and the completed report was to be forwarded back to the A.S.T.A. 407. Department of Highways Letter from the Department of Highways & Transport concerning the Finnegan Ferry, was read and ordered filed. 408. Committee Reports 409. Municipal Committee Moved by Councillor Hajash that we approve the purchase of a 4" pump mounted on a 2-wheel trailer with electric starter.
