Musgrove G. Larsen V. Fabian C. Andrews C. Block N. Tautfest P. Bartlett H. Janzen D. James 1. _ Minutes of the September 15, 19'72 Meeting were read and adopted, 2. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we approve $50.00 severance pay ``"~~ to L. Watrin of Gem for terminatiop of his car-bus route from ~~-'~''~.~~ Range Coulee to ~m~.t,~~a~~.-•°~Carried,_'~~ ~~- 3. Correspondence: ¢. Letter from Medicine Hat Planning Commission, application '72-M-92 re: Ben Gray sub-division, was read. Moved by Councillor Block that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. $. Letter from Medicine Hat Planning Commission re; application '72-M-'74. re: Lutes sub-division, was read. Moved by Councillor Block that no service-road agreement be required for this sub- division. Carried. 6. Reports on the Rolling Hills & Scandia water systems, were read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we acknowledge these reports and advise that we will take their recommendations under consideration, Carried. ~. Letter from Farm Electric Services Ltd. re: line extension in 18-1¢-¢, was read. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. 8. Letter from Tirol Gas Co-op Association Ltd. re; road crossings in Rolling Hills-Tilley area, was read. Moved by Councillor Fabian that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. 9o Letter from the Bank of Nova Scotia requesting payroll deductions for Canada Savings Bonds, was read. The Secretary was to advise the Bank that we are not prepared to go into this operation at this time. 10. °' Letter from Department of Municipal Affairs re: Scandia Plan ¢111 EA Block 2 Lots 16, l~, & 18, was read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we contact Mr. Clark and request a price on the purchase of Lots 16 & 18. Carried. , ' 1~ . Page 1 ~ 11. Moved by Councillor Janzen that we accept the Treasurer's Report for the month of September. Carried. 12. - Moved by Councillor Janzen that we approve the request from the Gem area for the setting up of a Recreation Area and that we proceed with advertising of same. Carried. 13. - Adjourn for lunch 12:45 - 2:00 p.m. 14. ~ Delegation, being Mr. Ross, Clark, Lapp & Curran, met with Council to discuss the Warble Control Program within the Province. 15. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that we pay Mr. K. Torkelson of Duchess 1 month's basic bus-driving salary due to termination of his bus Contract. Carried. 16. Committee Reports: 1'7. Carried. 24. Medicine Hat Health Unit: Moved by Councillor Fabian that we accept this report. Carried. 25. Planning Commission: Moved by Councillor Fabian that we accept this report. Carried. 26. George Philpott presented his report on Municipal Police, Special Crops, and Mobile Home Licencing. Moved by Councillor Larsen that we participate in the cost-sharing of the proposed car dump between the Town of Brooks. Eastern Irrigation District and County, for approximate cost of $30.00. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Tautfest that the Novembet Council Meeting be held on November 24. Carried. Moved by Councillor Fabian that K. Dolter be allowed to u$~e the County school bus subject to room and conditions. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove that the Tax Sale for 19'72 be held on December 13, 19'72. Carried. Moved by Councillor Andrews that the reserve bid on all Tax Sale property be set at 4 times the assessed value. Carried.
