The Regular Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. ~ was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on Friday, July 7, 1972 at
10:00 a.m.

2. Letter from the Alberta Department of Agriculture re: Agricultural
Development Committee, was read. Nominations were opened for the
Business Representative to this Committee:

NE 10-17-16-4~, was read. Moved by Councillor Andrews that we
approve this application. subject to allother regulations being
met. Carried.
7. •• Letter from Medicine Hat Regional Planning Commission. re: Stafford
Sub-division., was read. P~Ioved by Councillor Hajash that a 66'
service road be required, that theCounty construct this road anal
charge it back to the Sub-division. as a Local Improvement. Carried.

of this Sub-division. calling for country residences only. Carried.
8. Letter from the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts &
Counties re: Assessment & Taxation., was distributed to the
Council anal the Secretary advised to advise the Association
that we would beprepared to meet with them regarding this subject.
9. ~ Letter from the Alberta Association. of I~'unicipal Districts and
Counties re: proposed MunicipalManagement Manual, was read.
Council's decision. on this matter was that they felt this Manual
would serve no purpose at this time.

Assessme~,t, was read anal ordered filed.
11. Letter from theAlberta Rural Munici al Administrator's association
re: cancellation. of Section 110 (C~(I) of the Taxation. Act, was
read and ordered filed.

read. Moved by Councillor Janzcn that we approve this application.

13. Letter from Alberta Hail & Crop Insurance Corporation re: new
Hail Insurance for E.I.D. in 1972, was read anal ordered filed.
