Council Meeting
February 11, 1972
The regular Council Meeting of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office at Brooks, Alberta on. Friday, February 11,
1972 at 10:00 a.m.

1. Minutes of the January 7, 1972 Council Meeting were read anal
adopted.

2. Moved by Councillor Hajash that Farm Electric Services Invoice 2058
in the amount of $383.41 be returned to them for correction.. Carried.
3. The Pound Committee gave their recommendations as to the charges
for trucking of a heifer to the Rosemary Pound. It was their
recommendation. that the trucking charges be reduced to $5.00 anal
that both deposits be retained by the County.

Andrews that we approve this application. subject to all other
regulations being met. Carried.

was read anal ordered tabled for further study as to the tax position.

our Insurance Program, was read and approval given. by Council for
this Survey.
16. Letter from Lakeside Farm Industries Ltd, requesting the closing
anal leasing of Road Allowance in. 19-15-4~ was read. Moved by
Councillor Hajash that we advertise the closing and leasing of
this Road Allowance to Lakeside Farm Industries Ltd. Carried.

18. Mrs. Woodman. met with the Council to discuss the busing and~or
transportation. of her children. toRollin.g Hills School. As she
had written. direct to the Minister of Education and has not yet
received a reply from him, it was the decision. of the Council to
await the Minister's reply.

Hajash that we advertise the closing and leasing of this Road
Allowance to Mr. Wally Wells. Carried.

25. A request fromMr. Walter Schnieder of Brooks, for the construction. of
a trailer court on his property West of Brooks on. the Cassils Road
was discussed, anal he was requested to submit full detailed plans
of this trailer court before further action was taken..

26. Letter from the Village of Duchess in.dicatin.g their approval to a
joint Recreation. By-law was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett
that the Council also agree to this joint RecreationalAgreement.
