Moved by Councillor Tautfest that the surplus fund account of the ~~' Association be distributed among the members. Carried. . . Carried. Tender from Tony 2ommens on the old toilet located in the County yard, was read. His tender on this item was refused. Letter from Mr. Nick Dueck of Gem than'~ing the County for the services they supplied to him during his past 23 years' service as Bus Driver for the County, was read and ordered fired. . . Moved by Councillor Janzen. that a plaque be presented to i4r. Dueck for his 23 years of Bus Driving service for the County. Carried. . . Letter from the Department of r:unicipal Affairs re: Springside Hutterian Brethren., was read. Moved by Councillor Bartlett that the lease between. the Springside Hutterian Brethren. and .~ Mr. Jack Endersby, be referred back to the Communal Property Control Board, and have them handle this matter in the normal way. Carried. . . Letter from Cardinal Petroleum Company re; road crossings was read. Moved by Councillor Tautfest that we approve this application subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. . . Committee Reports: School Committee: Moved by Councillor Larsen that the motion. on the use of County School Buses to transport pupils and supervisors to the South ~ ~~ East Zone Finals, be transferred to the County Council. Alayer, Shop Foreman, met with the Committee to discuss the situation on operating County buses with lights on during the day. Whereas, the December 2, 1970 resolution calls for payment of $20.00 per day for each Councillor or member of each Committee Meeting attended, a And Whereas, Council is desirous of amending this resolution, Therefore, be it resol~red that remuneration to Councillors or for members of Committees be set at $10.00 per day per meeting and $10.00 for expenses.
