J. Ha jash~~' G. Larsen' A. Chrumka~ T, Musgrove D. Hall F. Bergen- P. Bartlett' C, Douglass° D,N. James Minutes of November 15th, were read and adopted. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we invite members from Town and Villages, and Rural Areas to attend our ne~~-t Council meeting of January 10th, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss Recreation Areas and Boards . Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we call~for tenders, without trade on a new copier machine. Carried. Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that Councillors Bartley--and Musgrove be req~.ested to meet with the Welfare Officer re Buchanan and Beyer cases. Carried. Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we accept the Secretaries statement of Receipts and Disbursements for November. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we accept the Secretaries statement of Estimates and Expenditures for November. Carried. Letter re Insurance on storage shed was read. / Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we do not accept this offer. Carried. Letter re Insurance on bus damage was read. Moved by Councillor Bergen, that we accept their settlement of $2900. Carried. Letter from Underwood Mclellan re final payment on Rolling Hills Hardsurface was read. Moved by Councillor Hall, that we pay this account. Carried. Letter from Public Service Pension Board re Group Classifa.cation was read and the Secretary was to r~ ke a report on this and report back. ~ t ' Adjourned for lunch 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Letter from Calgary Power re Line Extension in SW 5-18-14-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we approve this application, subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. Letters from Canadian Grid Oil and McNally Land Services re pipe line road crossing in 24-25_18_14-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we approve these applications subject to all other regulations being met. Carried. Lease from Darmac Oils Limited re 12-8-19-11-4 was read. Moved by Councillor Douglass, that we approve and accept this lease. Carried. Committee Reports School Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that we accept this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we sell the old fan from the Bassano School to T. Schafer for $100.00. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that anyone wishing to attend the Cen Expo do so at r~is own expense. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that future Delegations of County Councillors to A,A.M.D. Conventions be iimited to the Reeve, th:, Chairman, the Municipal Committee and not more than one third of the Membership of the County Council. Motion Lost Moved by Councillor Bergen, that we accept this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hall, that future delegates to Conventions be paid on the loses of, Councillor fees per day, for each day in attendance, plus $15.00 a day expenses and mileage. Motion Lost Agriculture Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we approve the proposal of a Coyote Bounty on the following bases of 250 coyotes and that this bounty apply to Coyotes killed within the County only., at the rate of County $1.25 E.I.D. $1:25. Carried. Moved by Councillor Douglass, that our roadside mowing program be changed to the follo~~:ing policy. Mowers to be hired by each Councillor in each Division at a rate of $3.00 for both sides of a mile of road. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that the Minister of Welfare be contacted in regards to the inadequacies contained in the present Act. In ~ rticular from the Preventive Welfare aspect and that recent cases be sited as examples. Carred, Moved by Councillor Larsen, that we accept this report. Carried. Brooks Hospital Move. by Councillor Bartlett, that we accept this report. Carried. Bassano Hospital Moved by Councillor Bergen, that we accept this report. Carried. Health Unit Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that we accept this report. Carried. Farm Purchase No report. Senior Citizens Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we accept this report, Carried, Nursing Home No report. Recreation No report Industrial Board Moved by Councillor Hajash, that we accept this report. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we approve cheques 552 - 960 as per list, for payment. Carried. Moved by Councillor Musgrove, that we cancel the taxes on Lot 21 Block 4 Kinbrook Park, as this Lot stands in the name of the De~rtment of Lands & Forests and is exempt property, Carried. u u _~ li ` ^ ` ~~~ Moved by Councillor Bartlett, that a fee of 50¢ minimum or 10¢ per parcel, whichever, is the larger, be charged for Tax statements. Carried. Moved by Councillor Hall, that the Annual Meeting be set for February 19th at 2:00 p.m. Carried. Moved by Councillor Bergen, that the Office remain closed on December 27th Carried. Applications for Heavy Duty Mechanic were read and referred to the Public Works Supervisor to hire one man. Lot 21 Block 4 Kinbrook Park $5.94 Whereas it has been found that the above mentioned land erroneously assessed and levied for taxes. Therefore be it resolved that under and by the provisions of Section 97 of the Munici~l Taxation Act, that the taxes as listed, be deleted from the tax roll of the County of Newell No. 4 for 1968.
