Special Council Meeting
June 27th 1966
~ Special Meeting of the County Council was held in the County Office in
Brooks, ,~lta. at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27th, 1966.
Members present, Reeve J. Hajash

This Special Meeting was called by a motion of Council passed at the
regular meeting of June 9th, 1966 for the purpose of opening and
considering the tenders for the Ha.rdsurfacing Program for 1966.

Moved by Councillor Grosfield, that the tender of Gallelli & Sons,
96,845.00 be accepted.
Carried.
Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that this Special Meeting be adjourned (2:30
p.m.), and that the Council proceed with the regular business of the
County. Carried.
$ letter from the Town of Brooks advising of the need to take 33 feet of
land from the Office site, on account of the widening of 6th Street East,
was read & discussed.

Moved Lsy Councillor Hajash, that the 33 feet strip of land required from
Block 33 Plan 3027 by the Town of Brooks, for the purpose of windening
6th Street East be released to the Town of Brooks, upon payment to the
County of the ~°um of $1000.00.
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Armstrong, that the Town of Brooks be advised of
the objectteon of the County against the open irrigation ditch located
immediately north of the entrance to the County Office Building.

Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that his Form "~" for roadwork in Division 2
for 1966 be revised to permit the following change.
Road 66-6 delete present location
change to East of Secs. 30 & 31 -16-13-4
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Hajash that the application of Steve Nagy to move a
house from 201 - 60th ~.ve. S.W. ®algary to be located on the farm of
Chris Redelback Sri 5-18-14-4 be approved,.
Carried.

Moved by Councillor Mandeville, that the Official Opening of the New
County Office Building be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, august 5th, 1966
and-that the Hon. Gordon Taylor be invited to make the Official Opening
.address.
Carried.
The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m., and the Council left to inspect a
prospective gravel deposit on the land of J. ~ilf~:~y, NN 14-19-15-4.
