County of Newell No. 4
Special County Council
July 21st, 1965.
A Special Meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 was held
in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
July 21st, 1.965.
Members Present, Reeve Jas. Hajash~
Councillors G. Larsen
A. Chrumka~
A. Eccles
R. Armstrong.
R. Eastman
D. Grosfield~
G. Douglass-
Sec.-Treas. H. Scammell
This meeting was called as a result of the unanimous consent at the
previous Council Meeting of July 9th, 1965.
All Councillors were notified of the meeting, by notice, and telephone,
which was called to meet with members of the firm of Maxwell and
Campbell to continue with the plans for the new office building.
Present for the firm were Mr. Maxwell, and Mr. Campbell.
The revised plans, and tentative specifications for the new office
building were presented, and scrutininzed by all members.
Messrs. Maxwell & Campbell explained in detail the suggested construc-
tion and problems of the increased costs due to labor increases etc.
over the last year which will be reflected in the estimated cost of
the building, which they had figured at $181,540.00 and confirmed in
their let~~r of July 21st, 1965.
There appeared to be nochanges of any consequence required in the plans,
and the Council deferred decision until a future meeting.
Meting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
