County of Newell No. 4 County Council January 11th, 1963 The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. Q. was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 1963. . . Scammell The minutes of the previous meeting of December ~, 1962 and the Statutory meeting of January 3rd, 1963, were read and adopted. . . . Moved by Councillor Armstrong, that the Secretary~s monthly statement of receipts and payments for the month of December be accepted. f Carried. • • • • • w ~'~ ~ Moved by Councillor Eastman that B law , Y #242 to donate j~, ~, $25.00 to the Prairie Provinces Forestry Association ~` be given lst, 2nd, and 3rd readings and finally passed. Carried Unanimously . . . . Moved by Councillor Chrumka, that the responsibility of payment to members of the Newell Foundation be solely~~he descretion of the contributing units. Carried. . . . Moved by Councillor Eastman, that the application of G.D. Tillack for a license to operate at the Rosemary Garage be approved providing the installation conforms to all of the Provincial Regulations covering such business. Carried. . . Moved by Councillor Armstrong, that the plans of the proposed Blackfoot R.E.A. be approved. Carried. . . . . Moved by Councillor Eccles, that the School Fire Insurance of the County be placed with the Norwich Insurance Society through the local agent, E.W. Brunsden for 1963. Carried. . . • . Moved by Councillor Armstrong, that application be made to have a F'Iashing Warning Signal installed at the C.P.R. crossing on the road allowance immediately east of the Town of Brooks which is the road to Kinbrook Island Park.
