Carried, . . . ~~~' A letter from the Tilley and Rolling Hills Grazing Assn. re Tax Concessions on account of drouth was read, The Secretary was directed to bring the contents to the attention of the Minister of Municipal Affairs, . . Two letters from the Department of Agriculture re Seed ~ Feed Requirements were read and ordered filed. ... Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth, that the application of ~.T. Nelson to the Department of Lands ~ Forests for a Road ,F~1lowance Lease as per form 1'7$ be tabled until the May Council Meeting. Lawrence attended the meeting to discuss the proposed new General Assessment, and stressed the need for good ,Aerial Photographs in the process, Moved by Councillor Shuttleworth~ that Mr, Lawrence be engaged to take charge of a General Assessment of the County at a salary of $6500.00 per year plus mileage allowance of ,12¢ per mile, his duties to commence dune lst, 1962. Lokier~ Scandia to purchase a parcel of land on the Scandia Townsite~ Plan It was unanimously agreed that the County did not wish to dispose of this land at this time. • • A 4 ~ A letter from the Eastern Irrigation District re Tax Concession on Grazing Lands was ready and the Secretary directed to forward it to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for attention. . . . . . .
