The regular monthly meeting of the $ouncil of the County of Newell # 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta, at 10:00 a,m. on Friday, November 6th, 1959. .. . . . The start of the meeting was delayed until 2:00 p,m. due to lack of quorum, . . ,`~ The minutes of the previous meeting of October 9th, 1959, were `t' read and adopted. i '~ 4 A letter from the Town of Brooks re the rental of additional space for maintenance yardt~s read and ordered filed. ', . . . . The Inspection Report for the Tilley addition was read and ordered filed. . . . Authority was received from the Department of Education to dispose , of the Imperial Colony school. . . . Advice was received of the closed season for antelope this year. . . . An invitation from Street Robbins Morrow for two representatives , to visit Caterpillar in Feoria was read. . . .. . It was agreed that the chairman and one other representative attend. . , Correspondence from the .Alberta Municipal Financing Corporation - was read and ordered filed. . . A letter from the Department of Public Welfare re Unmarried MotYs rs was read and ordered filed. . . Moved by Councillor Vossler that the revised plan of the Tilley R,E,A. be endorsed. Carried. . . . It was decided that every effort should be made to do as much work as possible on this road with as little inv~nvenience to the coal haul and travelling public as possible. - . . . The Municipal Inspectors report was presented by the chaa.rman. It was noted that the F.U.A. Grant referred to was not made as was indicated . . . The. uecretary was directed to acknowledge the report and file for presentation at the next Annual Meeting. . . . . Moved by Councillor Hajash that the proposed subdivision of Pt. S. W. 9-19-11+-1+ (Dinosor Corner) be approved. Carried. . . NToved by Councillor Armstrong that the requestof W. E. Winkley to erect a dwelling and greenhouse on No. 1 Highway 1~ miles east of- ~ Bassano be approved. ~~.~~ Carried. • \ ,` -~ Advice was received that the Brooks-Kinbrook Park Road had been ~. allocated as a Main District Highway as far south as N,E. 20-17 14-4. . • The Master Agreement together with sketch plan and floor plan of the Home for the Aged was received. . .
