J' ~r The regular monthly meeting of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4 was held in the County Office in Brooks, Alberta, at 10:00 a,m. on Friday, October 9th1 1959. . . Scammell The minutes of the previous meeting pf September 1Bth, 1959 were read and adopted. , • • f • Moved by Councillor NlcAleese that the Secretaryts reports of Receipts Disbursements and Monthly Progress for the month of September be accepted. Carried. . . Tre revised prints of the Rolling Hi11s R.E. Assn. were approved. . . , . A letter from California Standard re Seismograph Surve;~ at Scandia was read and ordered filed, . . , . Moved by Councillor Eastman that gravel be supplied to the Village of Rosemary at no cost. Carried. . . . The Secretary was directed to advise the Village of Rosemary that no assistance could be given in supplying a motor grader for their roadwork. . . , A letter from Zone 5, re executive meetings and Seminar on Grants at Banff was read and ordered filed, . . , A letter from the Town of Brooks re the Civil Defence Building, was referred to the Secretary for reply. . . Moved by Councillor Lokier that no action be taken to join the Medicine Hat District Planning Commission. Carried. . , . A letter from the Foothills Little Bow Municipal Association was read. The Chairman and Secretary were delegated to attend the Associationtis Annual Meeting on October 27th, 1959. . . . . (~ c ary Tre I 0 I~ i ~. r~ _ ~ ~ .~ RESOLVTIaN. A resolution of the Council of the County of Newell No. 4. to authorize the cancellation of two-road plans, viz. Road Plan 9741 as it applies to the east side ofthe Bow River, and Road Plan ]1F4.11 in its entirety. WHEREAS the erection of the bridge across the Bow River, and the construction of the new highway 36, has ~, made the continuance in use of the Road Plans 9741 ' and 114.11 unnecessary. AND WHFI~;AS application has been made to have the land therein replaced in the orig'~nal title. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County of Newell No. 1,. approve the cancellation of Plan No. 141.11, and that part of Plan No. 971+1 as it refers to that part east of the Bow River in the County of Newell.
